Bio

Coach Douglas is from Manchester, TN, where he graduated from CCCHS in 2014.  Afterwards, Coach Douglas went to Freed-Hardeman University, where he pitched for 4 years and obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing.  In his 4 years on the team, Freed-Hardeman won 2 conference championships, made it to 3 regionals, and competed in the first NAIA World Series in school history, losing in the national championship game.

After graduating from Freed-Hardeman, Coach Douglas became a graduate assistant for the Freed-Hardman baseball team, where he coached pitchers. The 2019 Lions became the 2nd Lions team to earn a bid to the NAIA World Series. During his GA year, Coach Douglas earned his Master's Degree in the Arts of Teaching.

After his GA year, Coach Douglas accepted the Head Baseball Coach Position at LaVergne High School.  His one season there ended prematurely due to COVID.  In 2020, Coach Douglas returned to Coffee County as the pitching coach. The 2021 Raiders pitched to a team ERA of 2.14 and won 21 games. In the fall of 2021, Coach Douglas became the Head Baseball Coach at CCCHS. In his first year, the Red Raiders tied for first place in District 6-AAAA for the regular season and won the district tournament, hosting the first regional game in CCHS Baseball in over 10 years.

In the spring season of 2023, the Red Raiders went 19-16 in the regular season with a district record of 11-1, as well as securing a second consecutive district tournament title.  The Raiders once again appeared in the regional tournament, hosted at Bradley Central High School.

He is entering his 3rd season as the head coach.

Coach Douglas is supported by his wife, Emily Douglas, and daughter, Jesse.
