Dr. Monroe received her bachelor's degree from the University of Mississippi. She later received her master's degree from Arkansas State University and her doctorate degree from Carson Newman University. She spent five years teaching English and science in Mississippi and coaching cheer. After marrying her husband, she moved to Manchester, TN and has been teaching for Coffee County Schools for over ten years. She loves seeing her students grow academically each year as they receive college credits in English before leaving high school. She is also a Motlow professor part-time. She also serves as the English Chairperson and serves on the district's calendar committee. Outside of school, she is an avid Ole Miss football fan and enjoys being a part of community theater.
