Bailey Crosslin
Bailey Crosslin

This week’s student of the week is junior Bailey Crosslin. Bailey is the daughter of Thomas and Renee Crosslin of Manchester.

Bailey was recommended by Mr. King. He explains that Bailey is the head librarian for the band, which he describes as equivalent to having a part-time job. She copies all the music and drill charts, then makes sure everyone has them at every rehearsal. She shows up early to school to work in the music library almost every day and usually one of the last to leave rehearsals in the evenings. She is also one of the flute/clarinet section leaders, which requires leading sectionals for marching and playing, scheduling after school sectional time, leading the new marchers through setting drill, and being responsible for anything her section needs in general. Mr. King says Bailey “consistently goes above and beyond what is asked of her, is always smiling with a positive attitude, and is truly a valued asset to the band.” Somehow, Bailey also finds time to serve as a photographer for the school yearbook and is a member of the French Club and Interact.

In her spare time, Bailey enjoys creating art, reading, spending time with friends, and practicing her instrument. After graduation, she plans to attend MTSU and major in psychology and sociology and minor in speech and language pathology and audiology.
