Zach Morgan

The Coffee County Central High School (CCCHS) Student of the Week is senior Zach Morgan, son of Misty and Nathan Morgan. Zach has maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout his high school career while taking honors, Advanced Placement (AP), Dual Enrollment (DE), and Dual Credit (DC) courses. Zach’s GPA while taking these college-level classes and working part time at Home Depot indicates he is truly prepared for the work ethic and time management necessary in college.

According to his DE English teacher, Mrs. Betsy Phillips, “Zach is an overall nice guy.  He approaches life with a sense of humor and is friendly toward every person he encounters.” CCCHS is very proud to have a student with these qualities, and we are certain they will help him succeed in all of his endeavors.

Zach is involved with Skills USA for machining and plans to compete at the state level at the end of this month with hopes of earning a college scholarship. Mr. Jeff Hinshaw, Zach’s machining teacher, says that Zach is a role model for first-year machining students; he is currently making trophies for those students. Mr. Hinshaw says that he has been “lucky” to have Zach in his classes and expects him to succeed in all of his endeavors. We at CCCHS wish him the best of luck at Tennessee Technological University in the fall!
