Wesley Wilson

This week’s Coffee County Central High School “Student of the Week” is senior student Wesley Wilson. Wesley is a four-year member of the Red Raider Marching Band. He is able to play the saxophone, guitar, trombone, trumpet, and piano. However, he enjoys playing his main instrument, the euphonium, most of all. Wesley was recently selected for the 2018 Midstate Band, an honor band that required him to audition alongside the best high school musicians in Middle Tennessee. Band Director, Mr. Simpson, is complimentary of Wesley’s work as well. He said, “Wesley strives for excellence in everything he does. His work ethic is a great example that other members of the band can look to as encouragement.”

Wesley has challenged himself through many Advanced Placement and Dual Enrollment courses throughout high school and scored a “28” on the ACT. As a result, he has earned multiple scholarships to attend Middle Tennessee State University. Wesley plans to study music at MTSU beginning in the fall. He would like to eventually become a professional musician. In Wesley’s spare time, he enjoys working on computers and playing video games. Congratulations to our “Student of the Week”, Wesley Wilson!
